COMING TOGETHER
The meeting was once again a great sharing experience.
Although it was small it proved to be very interesting. There were a couple of new attendees with their own unique questions and perspectives. One is possibly going to spear-head a new drug trial here in Redding and hopes for input. She will talk to us about it again and we will keep you posted as we get information.
Another is scheduled for CCSVI treatment in March and we definitely look forward to hearing her story as well as adding it to those who have already had this therapy.
These are certainly interesting times with new hopes presenting themselves. Roundtable meetings always bring new information, conversation and offer everyone an opportunity to share issues and provide solutions to others. We urge you to come to these meetings not only for your own sake but you may be able to help someone else work out an issue. We are all kindred spirits of a sort and cumulatively have great strength.
HOPE 4 MS is now on Facebook. Come join us there where you can share with others. When on Facebook type HOPE 4 MS in the white search bar and ask to join and we will accept you! This is a our site where you will only find friends associated with our group. See you there…
Next month on March 5th we will have a speaker from our local HICAP agency.
HICAP (Health Insurance Counseling Advocacy Program). HICAP can help you make sense of Medicare and health insurance. The Mission Statement: To provide Medicare beneficiaries and interested persons, professional and quality information and resources through individual counseling, community, education and advocacy services.
Judy Lyons has been a registered HICAP Counselor for 6 ½ years. She is the Assistant Program Manager in the Redding area. Judy will explain HICAP and the valuable free services they provide, one of which is sorting out the confusing Medicare Prescription Drug Program.
Until then, we hope to see you on Facebook and be well!
