July 2005 Meeting Newsletter
Hello Everyone,
We had an exceptionally good meeting, complete with amazingly good weather for this time of year.
It was announced that the HOPE4MS.org website is now up and running albeit in it’s infancy. We have plans to add a chat forum and are open to any suggestions as well as any links that may be good additions. Please submit any ideas to us at this e-mail address info@hope4ms.org as we hope to make this a good informative site.
It has become increasingly evident that among our group we have a real diversity of talents with much to share. This month’s meeting presented some examples of that.
Annette Berube got a gracious donation from Sunset Market of $35 which covered our refreshments. Annette also brought a wide variety of cooling devices that we enthusiastically checked out as well as some accompanying literature. While we were on the subject Robyn Embree presented a great cooling neck bandana that she makes and sells for $7 at the Crafter’s Mall. She has a huge array of fabric choices and is offering to contribute $1 of each purchase to the HOPE4MS Foundation. These are really attractive as well as functional and for convenience sake she says we can e-mail her with our orders and she will bring them to the next meeting. Robyn’s e-mail address is robyn_embree@yahoo.com.
After our break we shifted our focus to Doug Crawford who knows a wealth of information about insurance including the confusing disability insurances both state and federal. After he began speaking it became obvious to most people that Doug was a valuable information source. Once the individual questions began we realized the uniqueness of each persons situation as well as how little we all know. Our meeting ran over and Doug agreed to continue the subject at our next meeting. The best part is that Doug said he would be happy to help & advise people in our group with their own needs. Keep in mind that he is not a salesman just a very helpful individual. E-mail your questions to Doug at dougcrawford@peoplepc.com and this will help him tailor his talk at our next meeting as well as give you a direct link to communication with him.
Our next HOPE4MS Meeting will be August 6th at Redding Christian Fellowship, 2157 Victor Ave, Redding from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm.
This weather puts us all to the test and lets us know how strong we really are!
Try to stay cool and we hope to see you next month.
