THOMAS EDISON ONCE SAID…..

“WHEN YOU EXHAUST ALL POSSIBILITIES, REMEMBER THIS: YOU HAVEN’T”. Once again we have explored another possibility in our ongoing quest to improve our health.

Dr. Kevin Smith, DC specializes in Upper Cervical Treatment, a procedure that has proven to be highly successful in correcting entire body disorders by making a slight adjustment to the upper cervical spine near the brain stem. Studies have shown that trauma to the head or neck such as concussions, falls, sports injuries, too much wine, (oops, just seeing if you were paying attention) can misalign the the way the head sits on the spine thus disrupting the natural flow of nerve messages to the body. This misalignment has a ripple affect throughout the skeletal and nervous system. Adjustments to areas exhibiting discomfort only provide temporary relief, until the root of the problem is addressed. The initial injury may have happened years ago but this trauma forces the body to compensate in a myriad of ways. Dr. Smith is certain that his procedure can provide great benefit to our compromised bodies. Dr Smith can be reached at: (530) 222-5799.

Besides the positive testimony that Montel Williams has provided from this, Rod, from our group went in last week to to see Dr. Smith and has experienced some pretty good results with just one treatment. We couldn’t help but notice how Rod was standing with perfect posture and he said that he has had some fantastic changes to his MS symptoms and well being already. Several more of us have made appointments and will definitely share our outcomes.
Besides upper cervical care, Kevin’s wife Dr. Bailey Smith, DC, offers a whole body approach with strong emphasis on nutrition and exercise. She has agreed to speak at our next meeting and we look forward to her expertise.

March is National MS Awareness month and we tossed around some awareness & fund raising ideas. It would be so nice to get something off the ground to help us get some programs funded for our own MS community. Remember that HOPE 4 MS is a vehicle for all of us to use to move forward. If anyone has anything they would like to chair, promote or organize just let us know. This is our own non-profit organization available for use to all of us. We keep the support group & speakers going but welcome any input or activity from all of you. As an example, if someone wants to put on a spaghetti feed it can process through HOPE 4 MS wth tax deductible proceeds that we can enter into our account to go towards programs for all of us. Please think about it because we know that in this busy world we have to be the ones doing for ourselves. There are many giving, caring people out there who just need to know how they can help. Maybe it’s time to help them help us.
We welcomed several members from the Redding Dystonia Support group to our meeting and hope they too benefitted from our speaker. We would like to open up our group to them anytime!

We promise to get our forum up and running soon!
Be Well,
Patricia & Robyn
